New Look

So you may have noticed that the blog has taken on a new look lately! I have been working on a new logo for a while now, it has taken me a few tries to get it and I think this one is the winner! I read a lot about creating logos and branding and all of the things iI read said that the logo should mean something to the business owner… So here is the story behind my logo and what it means to me.

First off, I love peonies and the colour pink so wanting to incorporate that into my design was a given! Also, with pickle in the name there HAD to be some green. I played around with a vector of a pickle but it kept looking like a part of the male genetalia so that idea had to go! I also wanted my logo to reflect my name- Little Pickle. Little Pickle was named after my daughter Everly, as we started calling her our little pickle when we first found out we were pregnant but did not know the sex of our baby. I wanted my logo to reflect the mother/daughter relationship that we have and how it has inspired me.

The words of the logo are obvious- it’s the name of my business and the nickname of my daughter. The two peonies at the top represent Everly (the little one) and myself (the bigger one). The flourishes that surround the text represent my arms, hugging my little pickle tight and keeping her safe.

And that my friends is the story behind my logo! Hope you like it 🙂
