Baking Soda Science

Another day of peeing in cups and mixing it up. It’s been a while since I got to pee on things and we all know from my BABY BOARD post that I got a teensy bit addicted to peeing on things. So I have to admit that it was kind of fun! Here is the method…

1)      Measure out 1 teaspoon of baking soda and put it into a disposable cup.

2)      Mix some of your pee with the baking soda.

3)      Stand back and watch… if it fizzes you are having a BOY, if it does nothing you are having a GIRL.

My result—> GIRL

I also had my pregnant friend who knows she is having a boy do this test, her result —> BOY, she had a few bubbles.

Supposedly if you are having a boy your pee is more acidic and if you are having a girl it’s more alkaline. This is similar to the cabbage test and we all know how valid that one is now… and that’s all I have to say.

This test was kind of gross. The cabbage test turned a different colour, this test remained the yellow colour of your pee, but then all creamy with mixing it with the baking soda. Powdery pee yellow mixture, g-Rosse.

and predicting the gender of your unborn child…

Follow this link for more practical uses of the baking soda that you have just purchased…
