An old wives tale that is dominant in the Coast Salish Community in which I work says that a baby held by a pregnant woman will react according to the gender of the little baby in her belly. It is said that a baby boy will not settle in the arms of a pregnant woman carrying a boy and a baby girl will not settler in the arms of a pregnant woman carrying a girl. It is believed that each gender responds better to the pregnant woman who is carrying the gender opposite to them.
Now this one is tricky to determine. I think just babies in general don’t like me! When I have held baby boys they have cried and when I have held baby girls they have cried. My daughter has developed a significantly stronger bond to her dad since I have been pregnant also. She goes to him a lot more now. But then this could also be because I haven’t been much fun and her dad is a barrel of fun 🙂
If I had to guess I would say –> BOY as the boys have reacted worse than the girls!
